Flower in the crannied wall,

I pluck you out of the crannies,

I hold you here, root and all, in my hand,

Little flower -- but if I could understand

What you are, root and all, and all in all,

I should know what God and man is.

As we already discussed in class, the more you read the poem, the more you understand, feel, and appreciate its beauty and content. Please read Tennyson's "Flower in the Crannied Wall" again. This time, read it aloud with an attempt to feel it. Dig deeper and read in between the lines; then, come back and share with us your impression about the poem. What is the poet trying to say? and how is that relevant to our everyday life?

the poet try to say it is difference between man and flower thus also difference between man and God.
when you feel stronger and more familiar , check that it is the strongest and more familiar to to you ... that {God}.

I think that is reflect our Scientific and practical life .
when we feel strong and know every thing but in trouth we weak and know nothing ...

thanks alot

How we see the poet talking to flowers and do not answer it.

It looks as if the poet does not speak to the flowers, but communication with self <internal dialogue> about the Flower of God's creatures
The poet explains the difference between God's creatures, for example the man and flowers

The poem describes the motivation for understanding human life and assets
that I think ..,

Thank you very much...,

Beautiful ideas, Suhaila.

It is true that, although the speaker appears to be addressing the flower on the surface meaning of the text, he probably is talking to himself and contemplating the thought that occurred to him at that moment.

Good thinking. Keep it up.
