Flower in the crannied wall,
I pluck you out of the crannies,
I hold you here, root and all, in my hand,
Little flower -- but if I could understand
What you are, root and all, and all in all,
I should know what God and man is.
As we already discussed in class, the more you read the poem, the more you understand, feel, and appreciate its beauty and content. Please read Tennyson's "Flower in the Crannied Wall" again. This time, read it aloud with an attempt to feel it. Dig deeper and read in between the lines; then, come back and share with us your impression about the poem. What is the poet trying to say? and how is that relevant to our everyday life?
